Migrating to Google Cloud Platform

I am currently in the process of migrating this site, and a few other sites I currently host over to Google Cloud Platform. There are a few reasons for doing this, least of which is out of sheer interest into getting to know the ins and outs of how the platform works properly. This will, of course, mean using it beyond the scope of an incredibly over-the-top way to host a WordPress blog which is essentially what I use it for at the moment.

To be continued…

Digital Me

After much messing around, I’ve decided to go back to basics, and make my personal site a digital extension of myself, and not trying to be anything specialised or particularly focused. Instead just post about stuff that interests me as and when I feel like it, interspersed with posts based on the weekly photo challenges posted to Daily Post.

To help build up the amount of stuff on here, I have created drafts for each weekly photo challenge going back to the start of 2016, and discover challenge going back to March 2016 when it started and will publish the relevant posts as I feel like it. In future, I’ll probably include mockups from Briefbox challenges etc. and anything else that takes my interest.

The idea being that I want to make my site show my interests, and as a way to improve my skill set in stuff that interests me.

Also, as of January, I shall be training for my first full Marathon, so will probably start blogging about my progress etc. along the way.

Quick note: The current site look is temporary, I shall be adding a theme that I’ve created myself shortly.
